About StopLighty
A clearer public record of traffic-signal waits.
StopLighty gives each signalized intersection a permanent, searchable page where people can learn about the location and share recent, firsthand wait-time observations.
What the site does
StopLighty combines public geographic data, intersection context, maps, and community reports. The map is designed to help people find a signal quickly without browsing a long directory. Intersection pages provide factual location details, a street-level view when available, links to the appropriate local reporting authority, and public wait-time comments.
What the site does not do
StopLighty is independent and is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with a city, county, state, transportation agency, Google, or OpenStreetMap. Comments are personal observations, not verified traffic-engineering measurements. Urgent hazards and malfunctioning signals should be reported directly to emergency services or the responsible government agency.
Data and corrections
Intersection records are reviewed before publication and released gradually. Locations and jurisdiction details can still change or contain errors. To request a correction, report an inappropriate comment, or ask a privacy question, email [email protected].
